Waffle Rib Stitch on the Knitting Loom

Waffle Rib Stitch Free Pattern and Video

Waffle Rib Stitch

The waffle rib stitch on a knitting loom.  I love the fact that it is super easy. You only need to know how to knit and purl. This is a great unisex pattern for a nice fitting beanie hat or a textured dishcloth.

Below is a step by step video tutorial. I’m also so happy to introduce two amazing sponsors who have agreed to buy for the closed captioning on this video. Please support them by visiting their websites; PromiselearningAtl.com and ShantiStyledMe.com.

Waffle Rib Stitch Hat

The hat above was made on a 41 peg, extra-large Knifty Knitter loom. Using a large gauge loom has a different effect on the stitch. The hat pattern is available on Etsy and on Patreon for all current patrons.

The brimless Waffle Rib Stitch slouchy hat pattern is super cool and super easy to knit. Key to this hat is the Bernat Sheep-ish roving yarn and the tightened cast-on.

Hi Denise, I want tto make a hat. I think for the peg count I have to use the hat loom or MS 60 count..Do you think the #4 yarn would still look good? any other ideas? Would a no brim beinie do the look justice? any other hat that might work?
Now I am confused again. on row 4, I do nothing but a purl stitch from peg1 to peg 60 or do I need to use the 41 with the extra peg using the same stitch as peg40 has row1 knit,row2 purl, row3 knit row 4 purl?
    Thanks for your help

Am I correct that row 1 and 3 should add a P5 to have 10 stitches in the round?

Hi do you think I could do the same configuration on my Martha Stewart adjustable loom? Unfortunately where I live in Canada we have a small selection to pick from so KB isn’t an option, I did get one of the S looms brought back from the US as a gift and love it

      Hi Amy,
Sorry for the delay. Yes it will work with your MS
