Loom Knit Scissor Fob Pattern Video

Knit a Fob on a 24-peg Loom for Scissors or Keys

Scissor Fob

Fob is defined as; a short strap, ribbon, or chain attached especially to a pocket watch. We don’t really use pocket watches anymore, but we do use scissors and keys. Some of us really appreciate a beautiful pair of scissors. A fob can turn an ordinary pair of scissors into a treasured gift for any occasion. Make it even more personal by knitting one in the color and style of your choice.

This project is super quick and easy to knit, add it to a vintaged scissor and place the set in a special gift box for your loved one.   I hope you guys like it as much as I have.

Below is the step by step, beginner easy, video tutorial. Be sure to watch it completely before starting.

Large Eyelet Rib Stitch Pattern Video

Loom Knit the Large Eyelet Rib Stitch Pattern

Large Eyelet Rib Stitch

Peggy, a sweet supporter of Loomahat.com had requested a new stitch pattern for hats and scarves. I have wanted to say thank you to her in a very special way for such a long time. I’m super happy to do that with this pattern. The Large Eyelet Rib stitch pattern was a beast for me to figure out. I thought it would be quick and easy, but because I wanted to use a large gauge loom things got complicated. Good thing is that I got it figured out, it’s now become a favorite because it really is an easy pattern.

One of it’s best features is that the results work well for men and women. This is important for people who knit for charity because they have no idea who is getting your gift.

Below is a video tutorial for the flat version of the pattern. To get the version in the round you need to purchase the written pattern. Here is a link: Click HERE

Bottom Up Hat on a Round Loom Pattern Video

Loom Knit Brimless Hat Pattern Video

Bottom Up Brimless Hat

I love an easy brimless hat with a nice, neat edge as much as the next guy. It’s even better when I can make it work using my large gauge loom because I can finish faster. Here is a pattern with a stretchy stitch that bounces back and fits almost anyone. Works for both men and women so it makes it a great project for charities. The video is only 12 minutes from beginning to end so it doesn’t require a lot a time to watch it.

It’s called the Bottom Up hat because you knit the crown first which is different from the average loom knit hat pattern. You usually knit the brim first and end the project with the top of the hat. I guess you can also call it an upside down hat.

Loom Knit Drawstring Shoe Bag Pattern Video

Loom Knit Travel Shoe Bag on a Round Knitting Loom

Shoe Bag

The Shoe Bag project is not just an easy pattern you can finish in a day but it can also be used to make a cool market bag or a simple back pack. All you have to do is add straps and for that you would use the same rope used for the drawstring, just place it differently. Folks, I really like this one.

I used acrylic yarn but I think cotton might be a better option. I didn’t have a chance to test it with an alternative yarn but if you do – please let us know if you liked it better.

Wraps Per Inch Helps You Figure Out Yarn Weight

Wraps per Inch aka WPI

Wraps per Inch WIP

When you think you have a medium worsted weight yarn but you actually have a sport weight yarn, you can end up with a product that is a very different size than you thought.  Look at the feature picture so you can see what I mean. Both of the yarns I bought were labeled as worsted weight but when I tested them, it turned out that the yellow (10 WPI)  was worsted and the blue was a sport weight (13 WPI) yarn.

Wraps per inch, is a technique used to figure out the weight of yarn. Like if you have scarp yarn with no label, this system  gives you the ability to know the weight with a very simple procedure.

The bad news is that I did not find consistency with the numbers on the chart worldwide. Sometimes the difference between one chart and the other was huge. However, I did find that this was mostly true when I researched organizations or companies.  Most of the people making the tools used for this technique were consistent with their numbers. That made me very happy and excited about sharing with you what I’d learned.

Its no secret that China is the worlds factory. For many years, Western countries have outsourced manufacturing jobs to China in order to save money and reduce their production costs. But how does this affect products made for Canadians? The answer is simple: it doesnt. Canada imports over $30 billion worth of goods from China every year from wethenorth darknet , making them our number one trading partner by a wide margin. Despite being so reliant on Chinese imports, there are virtually no safety standards enforced by the Canadian government. This means that most imported goods are not tested or regulated before they hit store shelves here at home - which can be dangerous for unsuspecting consumers who may accidentally purchase these unsafe products without knowing any better! Well talk more about.
