Pom Pom Scarf on a Small Loom

Pom Pom Scarf on a Small Round LoomPom Pom Scarf

The Pom Pom scarf pattern is beginner simple. I just love this very fluffy creation. It wins my So Super Cute seal of approval. This very unique design is by Judith S. Her blog is Ju DIYth but I found the some-what pattern on the

CutandKeep.net website. Although the texture makes the scarf look complex the only stitch you need to know is the e-wrap. What really makes this scarf so beautiful is the yarn. It’s called pom-pom yarn and although it’s normally used to make baby knit wear the fun design is for anyone.

Knifty Knitter Loom Set with Slim Jim

Knifty Knitter Loom Set with Slim Jim 210314

Knifty Knitter Loom Set w Slim Jim

This is more than just a product review and RAFFLE of the Knifty Knitter Loom set with Slim Jim. It is also a review of a an unbelievable deal. It is already well-known that the Provo company has manufactured a solidly well made loom . The difference here is that instead of the usual all round. all long, or all rectangular set you have four distinctly different looms with unique uses. First, I think of all the set options available this is the best for a beginner that has NO loom. Secondly, to get this 6 piece set for $4.99 with no shipping charges is outrages. Note that I am NOT the seller. I bought this exact set on Amazon this year. My not-so clear screen shot receipt is below. I tried to make it look better to no avail.  It says “You purchased this item on May 14, 2014”. Now look at the price, $19.95. That is the same price or close to it, right now, today.

.

To Purchase: Click Here

YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT NOW FOR $5 OR YOU CAN WIN IT IN THE RAFFLE. Scroll down to enter NOW because it ends in 6 days at midnight from the start date, 09/22/2014.

******** Note that I can not be responsible if the price changes or the item is sold-out by the time you visit the seller because again – I AM NOT THE SELLER.

Loom Knit Newborn Hat Pattern for a Boy – FREE

Free Loom Knit Newborn Hat Pattern for Baby Boys

Loom Knit Newborn HatAll newborns are babies but not all babies are newborns. Make sense? Well, I say that because this is a loom knit newborn hat pattern for a tiny baby that is less then a month old.  To be more exact I would say no more than a week or two depending on the baby. This is not going to fit the average 2 or 3 month old unless the baby is a preemie. So the purpose of this little hat is for the parents to bundle-up their new little man warmly to take him home from the hospital. To increase the size of the hat for a bigger baby use the medium 31-peg loom and use the size chart below.

I made this pattern specifically for a boy because I wanted to give it to The Period of Purple Crying. It’s an organization that is focused on helping to educate people on Shaken Baby Syndrome. According to their ClickforBabies.org website, which is their resource page for knitters they don’t get enough baby boy caps. By the way, this is true for most charities. We knitters prefer making girly stuff. So this is my small attempt at leveling the knitting field. To meet their guideline specifications you just need to change the color of the hat to purple and remove the button. There shouldn’t be any attachments on the hat. If you like the contrasting color in the middle of the cable you can also embroider a mock button in its place. A circular piece of felt is also an option.

The Crocodile Stitch on a Knitting Loom

The Crocodile Stitch Also Known as the Scallop Stitch

The-crocodile-stitch

Scarlett Royal is an AMAZING loom knitter. I featured her free stuffed animal patterns and videos earlier this year and the response is still high. Personally, I get at a lost for words about her skill with the loom. When she puts her mind on a task and her hands on her tools she does things like crack the code to create a pattern for THE CROCODILE STITCH on a loom! I am super, uber happy. I have to think that you are too. Needle knitters have had this technique since the invention of dirt. Now so do loom knitters. To make the gift even way better there’s a video tutorial. I can already picture the edges on a poncho or shrug. The creative juices get going when you have such great stuff to work with.

You must see the gorgeous pictures at the bottom of this post of the Realistic Owl Hat she made using this textured stitch. Well… enjoy and please please tell me what you think.

How to Make a Grip for Your Hook Pencil or Tool – EASY

How to Make a Grip for Your Hook

How to Make a Grip for Your Hook - Pencil on a Loom Learn how to make a grip for your hook, pencil or straight tool using any size long knitting loom. two round looms attached or even a bracelet loom. Easy to follow text, picture and video tutorial.

The grip is especially great for knitters with carpal tunnel, arthritis or those that simply prefer a thicker handle. I wasn’t sure about adding volume to my small Knifty Knitter hook but after several months of knitting with my chubby hook I have to admit that I love the look and feel. Plus now I can make it what ever color I want or how many colors I want. It isn’t purple anymore. Even more important it was a fun project that I really enjoyed doing. Too Cool!

This is Beginner EASY. I would say that a child as young as 6 or 8 years old can handle the work with very little supervision because the steps are few and constant.

My Recent ILLness and The Future of This Site

Come Loom with Me – AGAIN

Yarn Giveaway May 2014

Yarn Giveaway May 2014 is two skeins of Paton’s beautiful Silk Bamboo and the awesome book by Denise Layman, How to Knit Fashionable SCARVES on Circle Looms.

A book on scarves in the month of May when you live in Florida or any warm climate is a bit off I must admit. But for one thing many of you live in places where a scarf is not to much. Actually this gear is still in the front of your closet if only for a brisk night-time walk.

Three Step Stitch On a Round Loom Pic, Text and Video Tutorial

Three Step Stitch on a Round Loom

Three Step Stitch

The Three Step Stitch is the best looking loom knitting boo-boo I have ever seen. I first saw this stitch on Karen Aicken’s Pinterest board.  Zoe MacLean created this beauty when she got confused on how to knit the Mock Crochet stitch. I just love it when things like this happen, don’t you. Especially because some people think only perfection works wonders.

Yet some of this worlds best creations are a result of human (the best creation EVER) error.Like sticky notes and chocolate chips great creations stand alone as ingenious products. To the point that the average person never finds out the original intent of the creator.

Thanks Zoe, I wait anxiously to see your next wrong turn. And without further ado… lets break down the Three Step Stitch in Four Easy to Follow Steps.

Its no secret that China is the worlds factory. For many years, Western countries have outsourced manufacturing jobs to China in order to save money and reduce their production costs. But how does this affect products made for Canadians? The answer is simple: it doesnt. Canada imports over $30 billion worth of goods from China every year from wethenorth darknet , making them our number one trading partner by a wide margin. Despite being so reliant on Chinese imports, there are virtually no safety standards enforced by the Canadian government. This means that most imported goods are not tested or regulated before they hit store shelves here at home - which can be dangerous for unsuspecting consumers who may accidentally purchase these unsafe products without knowing any better! Well talk more about.
