Knitting Doll Clothes is Important Because Barbie Always Needs a New Dress

Knitting doll clothes can be fun and easy. If you can make a couple of pom poms and a simple small knit hat this outfit is yours.. Personalize it even more with bows , buttons or colored string. The point is to dress-up Barbie with a beautiful easy to make gown.

For creative choices, a few changes to the pom poms and the yarn color and the dress takes on a whole other look.

I so loved this project. I have recycled Barbie Dolls now for 3 years. They have been sent all over the world, which I think is awesome for what would have been throw a-ways.

Loom Knit Dolls – Easy

I looked for a guide on how to loom knit a doll. I wanted to make some for my Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes and Reliefshare.org. During my internet quest I found A LOT on how to crochet all kinds of patterns for knitted dolls. Well, I don’t know how to crochet so I didn’t need any of those patterns. But by the grace of God I woke up on a Saturday at 6 am with all the instructions in my head. The end product is a video on YouTube and what I hope is an easy picture tutorial below.

My cutie: The Ball Dolly. .. is precious to me.

She is easy to assemble but you must have 2 preemie loom knit hats which are easy to make.

How to Loom Knit Baby Booties : Very Cute Very Easy

I wanted to loom baby booties for charity. Priority number one was that they needed to be really cute but very simple to make because I don’t like to knit complicated projects and because I wanted to make a lot of them.

Since I didn’t know how to crochet or do regular knitting, figuring out how to do this using the same basic skills I use to loom hats was a bit difficult in the beginning Going back and forth didn’t feel very natural with the first little sock. But, once I got going making these little knitted shoes it was easy as pie. Then I was hook I wanted to loom baby booties in every color and for everybody, even the dog. By-the-way, even if you can loom baby booties for the dog you should reconsider. I don’t think they like the feel of the yarn. Any way, that’s another story for another day and another project. If you do make some for your dog or cat, PLEASE send me pictures!

One of the slogans is, “giving relief through sharing.” What a beautiful statement. For me, it is spot-on as far as what I want to do with my loom knitting projects. If you love to knit, sew, or put funds together for an awesome cause you need to visit this website and get to know these folks. The blog is especially sweet.; full of pictures of sewn and knitted toys, hats, booties and blankets. I must suggest however, that you have tissue in hand. Some of the pictures will tear you heart apart and help spring you into action.

Operation Christmas Child : My All-Time Favorite Charity

Operation Christmas Child started in 1993. It is the gift giving project of the relief organization Samaritan’s Purse. Today they have traveled to over 130 countries and have delivered over 100 million gift filled shoe boxes.

This charity is especially close to my heart. How can I express the love my family and I have for this project but by telling you that we work all year-long looking for bargain items and making special hand-made gifts to fill shoe boxes that I know will travel across the globe to some poverty-stricken, hurting , and often abandoned children left in cold and unloving orphanages. I have personally met two recipients, now grown-ups, who have told us of unspeakable situations and the impact of a small but powerful little shoe box.

I know that many of these kids have Never had a toy or a candy. That many will go to school for the first time because in my little boxes I remembered to include school supplies.

I am so amazed of the joy that I can give with just a few store-bought items and a few loom knitted toys. Let me show you what that joy looks like…

I wasn’t looking to learn how to loom knit a flower when I discovered this beauty. I was first learning how to loom knit hats using the Knifty Knitter loom. I made a mistake and created a really cool knitted flower … I named my odd creation and now I make them often in many styles and colors. Loom a Hat Style. The Official Story behind The Flat Hat Flower:

I was looming one of my first hats with the Knifty Knitter blue 24 peg loom. Half-way through the project I discover that the loom was the wrong size and that the knit hat would be too small for the teenager I intended to bless with the gift. In my frustration I flattened the hat to put it away. I noticed that it looked a lot like a flower sooooooo I put a button on it and baptized it, “The Flat Hat Flower”.Talk about a great lesson about turning your mistakes into advantage.
