I know you also hate knitting the dreaded sock heel. But this technique is so awesome.
If you have made socks on a loom you know that the heel is a killer. And sometimes even after trying your best you still find holes. Well, not with the German Short Rows heel. It leave a tight and very neat fabric. I believe that even a beginner can handle it without a bit of worry or stress.
I am super excited about this scarf with sleeves project. I did mess up on the tester but that was great because I made the next one better. It is one of my favorite scarves ever. There are so many ways to wear this scarf but I didn’t want to hold up the project for more information. I hope you all like it as much as I do.
This pattern is not beginner friendly. I would advise novice not to attempt this at home unless you have nerves of steel. I know a lot of you are fearless but if you have any questions. Let me know. Below is the step by step video tutorial
Ever knit the wrong stitch and found yourself undoing row after row to fix one stitch. This happened to me while knitting a 1×1 rib stitch. Like everyone else I used to undo all the rows necessary to get to the bad stitch. But not anymore. Here is a better solution. Fix only that one stitch, easily.
The Chevron Zig Zag Stitch pattern doesn’t curl on the edges and is completely reversible. That makes it a perfect stitch for blankets, throws and washcloths patterns. If you know me, you know I love to knit washcloths and dishcloths. They’re easy, quick and usable. Another thing I love is that it’s a unisex fabric that can be used for everyone.

The Tiny Pumpkin pattern was originally designed and published with no video in 2017. That is because it’s basically a larger version of the Rib Stitch Flower.
The Garter Stitch Rectangles is the first in a series of blanket stitches. Many of my Patreon Patrons have new babies and they want to knit for them. Although this stitch is not really reversible the back of the fabric looks very good. The pattern is super interesting in that combines the rib stitch with a basket weave. That gives the fabric a stretchy character. That’s a plus in loom knitting.I think it would make a beautiful cocoon with a matching hat. Even a super cool brimless hat for an adult. The ridged ribbon stitch is an easy pattern. Its made up of 3 stitches and 6 rows. It is not exactly the same as the knitted version. I did have to make some changes to make it work for a large gauge loom and one strand of yarn.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’m on a mission. I am collecting lace and eyelet stitches that can be made on a large gauge loom and worsted weight yarn. After this pattern I think I will start focusing on stitches for blankets. Stay tuned for that series.

Loom knit a newborn hat for your baby or as a gift. Too often I have heard from followers and organizations that loom knit baby hats have holes. But you can knit a baby hat on a large gauge loom with no holes or chunky yarn. And, you don’t need to knit with two strands. The key is the version of the knit stitch and the size of your loom. Also I don’t use light weight baby yarn. I use a single strand of medium, number 4, worsted weight yarn. My favorite is Caron Simply Soft by Yarnspirations.

The Wheat Lace is another stitch in my collection of lace and eyelet stitches done on a large gauge loom. Because I used that loom the middle of the two eyelets is large and loose. I happen to like it that way but I also wanted to share with you the original look of the stitch and so there are 2 versions of the stitch in the written pattern and the video.
One con about this beauty is that it curls on the ends and requires blocking. I prefer steam blocking the fabric. To see how I do this, click HERE.
I love the little arrowhead lace stitch. It has texture and detail but is simple to knit. I’m very happy that I was able to convert this eyelet pattern to work on a large gauge loom. So many of the stitches I want to share don’t look right if you don’t use a small gauge loom. Sometimes you can’t even see the stitch at all. It’s lost in the loose loops. But with the use of several versions of the knit stitch I’ve manage to make things work for this lovely.
I hope you will give the little arrowhead lace stitch a try. As with most of my patterns the video will walk you through the stitch repeat. This way of writing out the pattern is not conventional but I find it to be easier for beginners.The written pattern includes a simple and a complete version of the flat for scarves and shawls and a round version for hats, socks and bags.
A lovey blanket is a great gift for a baby shower or new baby’s room. But I do think it’s more appropriate for toddler. Either way it was fun to make and it’s super cute.
It took me some time to decide on the toy. My first try was with a tiny doll. But I picked the sheep because they remind me of soft wool and comfortable beds. I guess I’ve been brainwashed by the commercials.
This project did take me a long time to complete. The stitch pattern has a lot of yarn overs but I believe it’s worth the time. Also take into consideration that this is not a beginner friendly project but if you’re brave then dive in. It can’t hurt to stretch your loom knitting skills.
A crochet edge is an easy way to improve the look of your loom knit fabric. In this 4 minute video I will take you step by step through the process.Use the single or double version to add color and volume to that almost perfect blanket. You’ll see that although you have no idea how to crochet or you tried and it didn’t work, you can do this.
The acorn stitch is the best basket weave stitch I have ever seen. Since last year I have wanted to knit a lovey blanket. After a monthly chat session with my Patreon Patrons I decide the time is now. When I did the research the best looking ones were made using a crochet hook. This stitch pattern looks the closes to that fabric and so here it is for you and I to enjoy.
