I love any version of the basket weave and the Garter Stitch Checks is on the top of that list. What can I say, a few knits and purls has done it again. Super cool – super easy. Great for everybody, men, women and children. It is reversible so works for dishcloths, washcloths , scarves and blankets.

This is a VERY simple Triangle Shawl pattern that only appears to be complicated. I believe even a beginner can easily handle it. With so many uses it is definitely worth the try. To make things even nicer it’s a one day, one skein, one loom pattern completed in one piece with the option to customize with fringes, tassels, beads as I did or you can easily add some interesting charms.

This version of the e-Wrap is the lace stitch from heaven. The double e-wrap knit stitch is super easy to do and the result is beautiful. My plan is to use if for a nice breezy triangle shawl. Perfect for the spring and summer season. This stitch has many possibilities from a light vest to a quick market bag.

The loom knit Farrow Rib Stitch Scarf pattern is great for both men and women, whether 5 years of age or 50. This farrow stitch hat has rich texture and warmth. Perfect for a casual upscale look. The pattern appears complex but it is far from it. I designed it for the fans of the stitch pattern I published a few months ago and who had problems using it for their projects. Turn any shoe into a nice warm boot with the help of your small loom and chunky wool blend yarn to make yourself a pair of sock boots. This design is thinner in the foot area to fit into your basic shoe and chunkier around the legs to keep you nice and toasty.
The pattern below is meant to work more as a guide then an actual pattern. To make it perfectly custom sized for you or your loved one you will need to do some VERY simple math. The formula is below in the pattern notes. Other then that this is an easy project especially because you can follow the step by step instructions on the video tutorial.

The spiral hat is super easy to do. Never-the-less, because beginners are always on my mind I have a written pattern and a step by step video tutorial. Even if you have made a spiral hat in the past take a quick look at the video. It’s under 9 minutes and you might learn something, like a cool trick I learned from Karen Aiken.

There are some stitches that deserve to be used more than once. This is especially true when you have a really cool adult hat and you want a baby hat to match it. This little hat was actually the test pattern for the adult version. It came out so tiny that I decide to turn it into a baby hat. I made it almost a year ago and it was supposed to go in one of my Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes for a girl 2 – 4-year-old. I didn’t make enough shoe boxes to include it – but next year for sure.
I saw a video a few years ago by Maria Eugenia Tovar for the Brioche stitch in two colors. Wow what a beautiful stitch. I knew I wanted to design a Brioche Paper Bag Hat for a baby because I was certain it would be super cute. I did and I love it. This little beanie works great for girls and boys.
Although a bit difficult for a beginner I’ve recorded a video tutorial to make the pattern doable for anyone wanting to try it. PLEASE be sure to watch the video completely before starting your project. I promise that it will make this awesome stitch so much easier to do.
I started loom knitting because I wanted to knit for charity. Then I learned how to make videos because I wanted to teach other’s how to loom knit. Now I wrote a book because I want to inspire children, their parents, friends and family to loom knit for charity. Liam’s Gift is the first in a series called Loving with Looms. The series is name after my yearly Award to those that share love and compassion to others by knitting gifts with their looms.

While on a dangerous trip through the yarn aisle in Walmart I found the perfect yarn for an EASY Thanksgiving slouchy hat. I picked it for the colors only to find out all the other awesome features of this yarn. The Bernat Viva in Rust is lovely.
Then I figured that as long as I tell you about the yarn I should give you the easy slouchy pattern. But lets start with the yarn.
Some patterns shouldn’t have wrinkles or bumps when you finish the hat. There is a simple way to decrease the hat that gives you a nice crown with a flat top. The Flat Drawstring Cast-off is another great method but I find it a bit complicated for some people. Especially at the end when you pull you strings and sometimes they don’t pull correctly. I believe that anyone can manage this technique even true beginners.
