Face Mask Extender Free Pattern with Video
Loom Knit Face Mask Extender
I’ve been asked over and over again to design a pattern for a loom knit face mask. But I understand that knitted fabric holds bacteria. I’m no expert and I’m not willing to take the chance on another human being and so here is the next best thing to help those that have to use a mask. I’ve designed a face mask extender based on a news article sent to me by Nan Jacobs, my dear Patreon patron.
The pattern is free below thanks to the almost 300 awesome people that support me on that platform.
By the way this is the second free pattern they have made possible. Here is the birds nest project with a step by step video designed for charity. ( Read More )…
Flag Stitch on a Knitting Loom Pattern Video
Loom Knit the Flag Stitch
I have a previous post of a flag stitch that was much larger. I decided that I wanted to convert the original small version of this stitch for the large gauge loom. It took several tries and some tweaking but I managed to come up with a version I think everyone with a large gauge loom can appreciate.
I did a large version of this pattern with the idea of knitting large squares in a row in order to create a blanket. To see that post and video click HERE. This time the idea is the same except with smaller squares. Scroll down to watch the step by step video of the stitch pattern.

Loom Knit Coaster Pattern Info and Video – The Mug Rug
How to Loom Knit a Coaster Mug Rug
Why does your mug need a rug? Because they’re cute, quick and easy to make and you can make them from scarps. I am looking forward to a ladies luncheon so I can show off my Mug Rug in many different colors. They also make great gifts when you match them up with a really pretty or cool mug. Most importantly it’s another unisex project. You know that there aren’t enough knitting patterns for men. Here is another good one.
As always this project includes a step by step video tutorial. You can find it at the bottom of the post. I hope you watch it completely before starting the project.
Birds Nest Free Loom Knit Pattern and Video
One of my Patreon patrons asked if I would design a pattern for the animal rescue efforts in Australia. I had already been thinking about a birds nest and so here is the little nest. I hope many of you will consider putting any information you have in the comment section that will help other people participate.
I checked with Wires.org to make sure my measurements would meet their requirements before I started. So as long as you use the pattern exactly as written you should be fine.

Little Pyramid Stitch Pattern Video
Knit The Little Pyramid Stitch on a Loom
Learn how to knit the Little Pyramid stitch on the loom. This is the another one for my list of blanket stitches. Although its not reversible the back side doesn’t look bad. I have seen it on blanket patterns and it looks beautiful. To be honest, I’m considering this baby for a long sleeve cardigan. Stay tuned for that in the future. Especially because the weather is getting a little cooler around these parts.
I totally love the texture and simple lines that make it perfect for boys. But you can also use it for your favorite little girl by just making a color change say purple or pink. I’ve also considered adding little beads to the tips of the triangle.

German Short Rows Heel for Large Gauge Looms
The German Short Rows (GSR) Heel on a Knitting Loom
I know you also hate knitting the dreaded sock heel. But this technique is so awesome.
If you have made socks on a loom you know that the heel is a killer. And sometimes even after trying your best you still find holes. Well, not with the German Short Rows heel. It leave a tight and very neat fabric. I believe that even a beginner can handle it without a bit of worry or stress.

Loom Knit Scarf with Sleeves on a Round Loom
I am super excited about this scarf with sleeves project. I did mess up on the tester but that was great because I made the next one better. It is one of my favorite scarves ever. There are so many ways to wear this scarf but I didn’t want to hold up the project for more information. I hope you all like it as much as I do.
This pattern is not beginner friendly. I would advise novice not to attempt this at home unless you have nerves of steel. I know a lot of you are fearless but if you have any questions. Let me know. Below is the step by step video tutorial
Fix Wrong Stitch
Fix the Wrong Loom Knit Stitch
Ever knit the wrong stitch and found yourself undoing row after row to fix one stitch. This happened to me while knitting a 1×1 rib stitch. Like everyone else I used to undo all the rows necessary to get to the bad stitch. But not anymore. Here is a better solution. Fix only that one stitch, easily.

Garter Stitch Rectangles Pattern Video
How to Loom Knit the Garter Stitch Rectangles
The Garter Stitch Rectangles is the first in a series of blanket stitches. Many of my Patreon Patrons have new babies and they want to knit for them. Although this stitch is not really reversible the back of the fabric looks very good. The pattern is super interesting in that combines the rib stitch with a basket weave. That gives the fabric a stretchy character. That’s a plus in loom knitting.I think it would make a beautiful cocoon with a matching hat. Even a super cool brimless hat for an adult. Watch for any one of these patterns. Make sure you subscribe to the YouTube channel and follow me on social media for updates.
As always I filmed a video tutorial. This pattern is made up of 6 stitches and 26 rows but it is super easy. It combines the rib stitch with a basket weave. Watch the step by step video tutorial below.
