If you have questions put them in the comment sections and I will answer some of them on Tuesdays. Not all questions will be answered, sorry I wish I could but I will choose those that are mostly asked across social media and this web-page.

    Please give us a table with the different cap sizes (how many inches) for different age groups on a general basis on a round knit loom.

    Hi Denise, I gust made a scarf using a round loom. My scarf’s edges turned/rolled. What did I do wrong?

      It happens sometimes when you use only one stitch – like the knit stitch – you can steam block the fabric to fix it: CLick HERE

    i have a friend who is partially blind. is there a pattern/hoop you can suggest that she could use to help her keep her hands and mind busy? i’m thinking hats for a start but i think its all easy so i am not good at deciding what to show her. tks

    love watching your videos my question is when i make my hats what is the best stitch to use made a couple of adult hats and made one too big and the other too small made both on 36 peg looms should i go up to a 40 or 41 peg loom thanks

      I almost exclusively use the Extra large loom (40-42 pegs) for adult hats. I suggest watching this video: Click HERE

    Do you have a pattern for the loom to make a scarf with pockets? I found one for crocheting but do not know how to turn it into a project for the loom

    hi denise. was wondering if you have a pattern for kids mittens about 4 to 6 years old. I am making caps for that age group and would like to make mittens that match. this is for a mitten tree this coming Christmas.

    I just finished a scarf on a lo g loom and when I bonded off I did something wrong because the end I binded off came out curved what did I do wrong and can I add fringe to hide the mistake

      Hard to say what you did wrong – you can try steam blocking the curved end and then just add fringe with a crochet hook.

    yes denise thats exactly the spot i meant. i tried doing a purl stitch on the row before i started the thumb hole and purl stitches on the row ends of the hole and then again when i increased. it did ‘sort of’ ‘kinda of’ worked but not for every glove i made. i have done 4 pair trying different ways to ‘thicken…reinforce’ the opening. just didnt quite do the trick. also maybe i should make the hole bigger so the yarn doesnt stretch so much. in reg crochet i would do a single crochet right into the middle of the stitch in the row below to give it some ‘tith…thickness’ if that makes sense.

    next pair is on the loom and will try what i saw on the video.

      Janice to make the thumb hole larger reduce the number of stitches when knitting flat and then increase when it’s time to knit again in the round.

    What an awesome idea for a new series! I have been loom-knitting off and on for the last six years, as finances and health allow. Since I am blind, I focus a great deal on descriptions of techniques, rather than on videos. I can usually figure out how to do something as I work with different parts of various articles, blog posts, etc. I just got a long loom set, and I can not figure out how to cast on in order to start a double-knit piece. Suggestions? And I also have some trouble understanding cast-on methods other than the e-wrap, but I really don’t like the feel of the loose loops at the beginning of projects where I don’t use brims. It is also easier to hold the knitting hook than it is most crochet hooks. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for accomplishing different cast-on methods, given this set of circumstances? BTW, I love your website and exploring new patterns!

        Hi Denise. When I am casting on for a hat, I love the crochet cast on. I start with a slip knot on a peg, put my hook into the loop, yarn over draw up a loop and put it on the next peg to the right. I do it all around. When I get to the end, I go to the first peg that I put a slip loop on and start my e-wrapping. This cast on leaves a really neat edge. Hope this helps everyone.

    Having trouble with the Paso stitch when it is used on more than one stitch. This is usually used as a decorative stitch as in the Dragon Stitch baby blanket. Need someone to show me visually. Love the look for older children who will not get little fingers caught.

    Can you reinforce a thumb hole when loom knitting fingerless gloves? I don’t like the ‘strings’ showing from the stitches and it looks weak.
